While I was somewhat underwhelmed by the lyrics on Illa J’s (legendary producer J Dilla’s younger brother) ‘08 LP Yancey Boys, the all Dilla production coupled with Illa’s suave flow and sometimes unorthodox style made for some dope cuts, including this first single.
